Maisa Kehl is an international model, coach, event planner, influencer, host, actress, healthy-lifestyle motivator, and spokesperson. She started her career winning pageants from 1989-2016, studied International Business plus earned an Associate of Arts in English degree, she is known for her glamour modeling work in Playboy magazine, she has graced the pages of over 45 international magazines and over 20 covers.
Currently, Maisa lives in USA, and is available around the world for print, advertising, marketing, promotions, catalog, and much more.
Happy to have you on FHM! Any exciting projects lined up for this year? Thank you for having me on FHM! This year is filled with exciting projects that will make your heart race. I have a few Women’s Retreats lined up, lots of travels, and more epic photo shoots, so get ready to see more of me!
Best place you have ever been to in the world? If I had to pick, Venice stole my heart. The city built on the water, over 2700 years old, with so much beauty, art, history, and luxury was like stepping into another world.
What inspires you? Life itself inspires me. Life is a journey that is as fascinating as it is mysterious. I was once a wide-eyed girl watching in awe the incredible models in magazines, full of curiosity for my future. I would never have dreamed of becoming the cover of those same Magazines such as FHM South Africa. And now I am a woman, with a career I’m extremely proud of, and it is life’s many experiences that keep my eyes on the future, just knowing that something else incredible is waiting for me just around the corner.
Why did you choose to pursue a career in modeling? To actively promote and remind women that it’s okay to love and honor themselves FULLY. Including their sexuality that most people judge, shame, and guilt.
Who has been the most influential person in your life and why? My parents are the most influential people in my life. Their unconditional love and guidance have shaped me into the woman I am today. They taught me the importance of authenticity, hard work, and staying true to myself. I owe everything to them.
Who do you look up to in the modeling industry? All the women that came before me, opened the doors, so that today, I can do the work I do.
What are some of your hobbies? I like yoga and meditation, and being in nature because it’s a way for me to alleviate stress, clear my mind, and refocus. Plus, I can do it anywhere. I travel so much that it’s invaluable to me to have something that keeps me healthy and feeling good no matter where I am.
What are some of your biggest dreams you hope to achieve? Visit a lot more countries as this world have too many treasures to be enjoyed. Create a holistic retreat center beachfront somewhere to spend my days hosting community and sharing experiences amongst ourselves and nature.
How romantic are you? I am a hopeless romantic at heart. I believe in grand gestures, passionate embraces, and creating unforgettable moments of intimacy.
Turn-ons… Integrity, politeness, kindness, drive, and a positive attitude.
Turnoffs… Insecurity, laziness, cockiness, bad manners or bad hygiene.
What is the most memorable date you’ve ever had? My most memorable date Mmm, I was scooped away in a private jet, we had a candlelit dinner on a secluded beach. We walked along the shoreline under the moonlight, shared intimate conversations, and spent the weekend creating unforgettable memories.
Are you a city traveler or a nature explorer? I enjoy indulging in cultural experiences and the pleasures of fine cuisine of city travel. But I also have a deep appreciation for connecting with Mother Earth and its beauty. So, you can say I’m a city slicker with a wild side!
Would you rather be loved, respected, or admired? I would choose to be respected. Respect forms the foundation of any meaningful relationship. When respect is present, love and admiration naturally follow. So, respect me, and you’ll earn my love and admiration in return.
What’s on your travel bucket list? To name a few, I dream of indulging in the luxuries of Dubai, diving into the mysteries of the romance of Paris, and embarking on a thrilling safari in the heart of Africa. My wanderlust knows no bounds.
