Such an absolute honour to have you on the cover of FHM! What has your journey as a certified bombshell been like so far? Thank you – I’m really happy to be featured (on the cover) with FHM! I’m just your regular girl next door who’s really grateful for the opportunity to feature with you!
We are blown away by your drive and professionalism, can you tell us what some of the things that motivate you to stay on top of your game are? Hands down, my Ohana – my family. They are by biggest supporters, and I just want to represent them and make everyone proud!
Top 3 best moments of your career? (1) When I dropped all my college courses halfway through the first semester and enrolled myself into Beauty School – I really had to prove myself to my parents with this move! (2) I left beautiful southern California and moved across country to Nashville, TN. I didn’t have a job, or a living space lined up – I made it by for a few months before my funds got really slim. I had only enough to pay for next months’ rent or to go home. I decided to stay, that same month I landed a gig going on tour with a band doing hair and makeup. Living on a tour bus wasn’t very glamourous but I got to travel and meet so many people – It was a very unique experience! (3) Opening up my bridal business earlier this year, Pure Essence Beauty Collective. I launched Pure Essence Beauty Collective as a one-stop for future brides to find their glam team for their wedding day, and most recently we just launched our Artist Management division where I have a strong team of extremely talented hair and makeup artists that I now manage. I discovered that many of my peers are struggling to keep up with the growing demand of our industry and I wanted to step up and fulfil that need – as Artists we just want to focus on creating gorgeous looks, not emails and contracts! So, I’m really excited to be providing support for my peers in this way! I have huge aspirations for Pure Essence Beauty Collective and my team!
What is your favourite chill time activity? I’m a huge book worm, I LOVE to read! I just finished ‘Untethered Soul’ by Michael Alan Singer and just started ‘Think Like a Monk’ by Jay Shetty. That, or you can find me in the gym.
We are taking you out on your ultimate date and we really want to knock this one out the ballpark, what would that entail? Whatever we do, I absolutely LOVE it when my man opens my car door! I don’t know what it is, but it absolutely turns me on! I guess you could say I’m a simple girl with simple needs!
What are, hands down, your absolute favourite things to do? Gosh this may sound silly, but I absolutely LOVE to take naps! It’s not very often I get to have a lazy day or rest these days. But let me curl up with my man watching a movie and let me get in a really good snooze – I’m in heaven!
3 ultimate deal breakers when it comes to men? (1) Complacency and laziness – it’s a major turn off (2) Disrespect/Cheating – I really pay close attention to how a person treats and speaks to and about others. It’s very revealing (3) Clinginess – I really value my alone time and independence and feel like it’s important to maintain a healthy relationship
Where would you say is your favourite place to be in the world and why? Honestly, it’s not a place. It’s with whom. As long as I’m with loved ones I’m home.
